I'm not suggesting MERGING accounts, I merely want to be able to designate my other account as a LINKED account, meaning I can access the storage for that account so I can swap items between the two accounts without having to either use a second computer or a go-between.

Maybe adding a button at the top of the storage window that says "Access Linked Account Storage". Then, you enter the account name and password. How difficult would that be?

i bought a second account to be able to play each profession as a primary. no regrets on it whatsoever. transferring between them was a huge PITA until i got a second computer built. now its just a minor PITA using multiple mice/keyboards. i would love to be able to merge them.

Pros: more char slots, linked unlocks and fame, no transfer issues

Cons: storage (im assuming the two accts would have to share one storage box and max out at 1000k), losing the ability to "run" your own newbs on the second comp while both accts logged on

overall, id love to see merging happen at whatever cost. as i posted in a previous thread, ANET will never sell "more slots" because even if they made money now, theyd lose more eventually to those only needing to buy one chap2, 3, etc when most of us with multiple accts will dish out the cash for multiple chap "x"'s in the future. but if they offered "merging" for a fee even on top of having to buy an expansion/expansion key for each acct, id jump on it.

Bumping this because I would love an easier way to share items and gold between two accounts rather than having to run back and forth between two computers.

As usuall everyone needs different things and trying to force their point of view. My personal experience about different accounts was like this: I got Prophecies. I enjoyed it, then bought Factions. Somewhere I have read that if I will create separate account, then I would have additional 4 slots. Then I found that it is more convinient to use both parts on the same account. I bought Collectors edition of factions and added it to Prophecies account.

Now. On my Factions-only account I have plenty of skills unlocked, some fame etc. But I don't use it anymore (not since I could buy additional character slots). I would be more than happy to be able to merge this account to my Prophecies-Factions one. (transfer fame, factions, acount based titles, unlocked skills etc). I don't mind loosing characters but I worked preety hard and now it is all for nothing. So I agree with merging.

Now there is SECOND GROUP of people who just want to simplyfy exchange of items, freinds lists etc and for them it would be easier to link or group accounts. I have no specific interest in such option, but I'm not against it.
